Yankee Candles!

 So I, alike many others, am in love with the whole range of Yankee Candles. I just think they are so much better than your average candle which, yes, look pretty, but don't really do much else! However the Yankee Candle range really do make the whole room smell lovely! I only found out about them late last year and, I am mighty glad that I did! Although I don't light them as much as I should (I'm always forgetting to take the lighter to my room) they really make a difference when they are lit. I've only ever had three of the smaller versions, as they do last a while and are great value. I got them from a cute shop in my town called 'Wysteria Lane' whilst they were on offer for something like £1.80 each which is easily affordable. The Vanilla cupcake scented one smelt AMAZING, I honestly couldn't stop smelling it, so as you can imagine, that burnt down pretty quickly! I'm currently burning the 'Christmas Eve' one which my friend got be for christmas, however it doesn't quite have the same strong smell as the vanilla one! I have the 'Midsummer's Night' one yet to use, and I can't wait! It smells amazing just in the packet! My Nan also has a cherry smelling one which I adore and shall have to purchace at some point! The cage candle holder which is pictured above, easily fits the candles in and looks fairly pretty, yet was only £1 from Poundland! My friend recentley bought a tart burner to put the Yankee tarts in, which are even cheaper! Yes, you do have to spend the extra money on the burner (she said she got hers for around £7) however the tarts are just £1.25 to buy and apparantly smell even stronger than the normal ones! She recommends the 'Pink Dragon Fruit' one, which I also would like to purchase at some point!

Glasses

I, (unfortunately) have to wear glasses. Now, it was only about one year ago in which I spoke up about the fact I wasn't able to see the board in class or read the television guide when it was on the television. So, one day I decided that enough was enough, and I asked my mum to book me an opticians apointment. So, along I went and, suprise, suprise, they told me that I needed glasses. I wasn't a big fan of the idea really, but I can't even explain the difference they made. It genuinley felt like everything was in 'HD!' At first I had some normal black rectangular glasses which I just wore for things I needed. However, I slowly realised that the prescription I had wasn't really strong enough and so, about 6 months later, I went back to the opticians. They re-tested me and confirmed the fact that I did indeed, need a stronger prescription. I also decided to upgrade my frames and seeing as I was 16, and still in full-time education, I could get a money off voucher on the NHS to put towards the glasses. This enabled me to by some Gok Wan glasses which I fell in love with. It almost makes wearing them much more bearable! I have to admit I probably do rely on them too much now and wear them practically all the time. I find most things blurry or off focus without them and squint a lot which gives me headaches so wearing them is the only option. It's amazing the amount of things that you look at which are at a long distance. Stupid things like reading prices on shelves in the supermakrket or looking at signs on the road are hard for me to read without them! I definately take after my mum in this area as she wears glasses or contact lenses 24/7. My friend also said that she felt the same way, and i've urged her to go and get an appointment at the opticians for, what seemed like a year. Anyways, just this week she went to have the appointment and she did indeed need glasses just like me. So, if your sat there and feel the same and are just putting it off, then don't! Get up and book yourself an appointment. Honestly, I couldn't beleive how much clearer things looked when I first got them. I couldn't be without them now! So here's a picture of my glasses. Bath Bomb!

So,in case you hadn't guessed, today I thought I'd do a blog post on my beloved bath bomb. Yes, i know it's christmas themed, but seeing as I only recentley created this blog, I couldn't resist not telling you about it! Anyways, my bestie (Emma) got me this for part of my christmas present and I couldn't thank her enough! I'd never used any Lush products before and so this was amazing! As soon as I opened it the strong scent hit me! Even when it was sat in my room (unused-duh!) it made the whole room smell nice! It looked and smelt too nice to use! So, when I eventually got round to using it, I was extremely excited (I probably sound so sad and weird right now, but if you've never used one then you have no right to judge!!) So, as you can see in my photo, it turned the bath green, yes green! It smelt even better than I'd imagined and left my skin feeling softer than ever! Also, when I drained the bath, bits of glittery red sparkle were left at the bottom which made it even prettier!

So, this particular bath bomb is called the 'Father Christmas Bath Ballistic', however it won't be availbale to be bought until next christmas now *sad face*. Anyway, Lush do provide a quick description of the bath bomb; 'Once you pop this sparkling, red glittery Santa bomb in your tub, it will turn your water from bright red to vivid green, filling your bathroom with a sensual uplifitng satsuma fragrance you may remember from Christmas past!' 

Although the bath bombs from Lush are quite expensive, if you want to treat yourself or just feel pampered, then this is definately the place to go. This bath bomb was £3.25, so you can get a rough idea as to how much they are. Nails!

Yes, you guessed, I'm definately one of those girls who loves to paint her nails. Who doesn't!? In recent years I've almost become obseesed with painting them-I just think it's an easy and long-lasting way to make your hands, on the whole, look much prettier! Plus, you can always match a nail varnish to an outfit to add a little more colour. So I thought it would be a good idea, to share with you the nail varnish range that I am in love with!

Now, all of the nail varnishes that I have pictured are part of the Miss Sporty brand. Although, they are not the most well-known for nail varnishes, I find them so, so good! They are availabe in a range of colours, from metallics, to neons and pastels. For me, I'm in love with them all, but i have to say the pastels are defiantely my favourite. the bottom picture shows the three that I currentley own. They are all in the 'Clubbing Colours' collection, and from right to left, are called 'Pop Fiction', 'Grape Fit' and 'Green Lemon.' They are all amazing and priced at just £1.99 you can't refuse. For me, waiting for nail varnishes to dry, is such a nuisance and these literally take no longer than 2 minutes to dry. Most of the time, they only need one coat which again, saves time and uses up less of the liquid! I am aware that brands like Essie, Topshop and Barry M are talked about a lot, and I am sure are of great quality but, they can be very pricey in comparison to this brand. I best not forget to mention the top coat which is pictured at the top! I only recently purchaced this varnish (whilst on holiday in the Lake District) and I have already used it twice! It is great when you want to add a bit more to your nails without it being fiddly and taking too much time. This top coat adds sparkle to your nails without taking the attention away from the base colour! It, again, is only £1.99 and is called 'Sparkle Touch' in the colour 'Clear.'

The book I'm currently reading..

 So, I thought I'd share with you the book I'm currentley reading. In case you hadn't guessed it's called 'Where Rainbows End' and it's written by Cecelia Ahern. At the moment, I'm on page 380 out of 585 and am really, really enjoying it so far! I picked it up in a small charity shop in the Lake District for just 40p, however I'm sure you can still buy it in most bookstores or online! One of the first proper novels of this genre I'd ever read was another of her books called 'A Place Called Here.' Although I enjoyed this book, it did have a funny twist and was fairly odd. I did stick to it and have to admit it was a good book so as you can imagine, when I saw her name on this book in the charity shop, I couldn't say no! I won't give too much away, however it's basically about a girl and boy who have been bestfriends since a young age. They grow up together however the boy has to move away. Anyway, life goes on and you see both of their lives progress with new relationships etc. They stay in contact and it is clear that maybe their could be some sort of romance between the two. BUT, I haven't even got to that point yet! The whole book is shown and written either through letters, instant messages or e-mail. If you'd like to read the blurb, then I've but a picture up of it above! Also, I have to admit that the pastel colours of the cover did make the decision to buy it, a lot easier. I definately do not go buy the rule of 'not judging a book by it's cover'!! Anyways, let me know if any of you read it and what you think of it. Speak soon.xx

1.   I was born in Shrewsbury.

2.   I don’t have a middle name.

3.   The sun instantly puts me in a very good mood, and the rain, the opposite.

4.   My nicknames are Chesca or Fran.

5.   I’ve only ever been to three concerts and they were in the past two years.

6.   I’m constantly singing, however I would never properly stand up and sing in front of anyone!

7.   I’m really not healthy in the slightest, but I do walk 2 miles to school and back most days!

8.   I’m going to college in September and at the moment I want to study English Language, Media Studies, Geography and Biology or Sociology.

9.   I like to read, however I rarely find the time whilst I’m at school.

10.   I go camping regularly with my family and friends and really enjoy it.

11.   If I had been born three days earlier I would be in the school year above-which would be sad because I wouldn’t have the friends I have now (soppy!)

12.   I have a paper round (the Chronicle) which I share with my brother and do every Thursday.

13.   My all time favourite film would have to be ‘A Cinderella Story’, with ‘Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging’ coming at a close second.

14.   I’m in love with the likes of Imagine Dragons and Bastille at the moment-their music is phenomenal.

15.   I am currently 16 and will be 17 in September (Woooo!)

16.       I’ve had braces since 2008 and I’m still going with the retainer now! Here's a picture of me when I first had my train tracks off-they made such a huge difference!

17.       I don’t really have a clear view as to what I want to be when I’m older but I think maybe a primary school teacher, a nurse, or a journalist.

18.       I have only ever dyed my hair once and that was a wash-in-wash-out one. It did absolutely nothing to my hair and it just basically dyed it the same colour as it already was!

19.       I’ve never owned a pet.

Split Ends!!

I have to confess that I am one of those people who is addicted to picking at split ends. Now, I understand that this may sound stupid, and you know what, I dont blame you! I mean its not like I don't know that I'm doing it, but I definately do it subconciously. I don't really know how it started but i can't seem to stop. It is badly damaging my hair and I know I should stop-but believe me it is very hard to break out of a habit (you'll know if you've got one) I've recently been for a hair trim (today, in fact) and decided that now would be a good time to stop. Now, I usually pick at them whenever I am bored-so in class or whilst waiting for something to load on the computer etc. Anytime where I'm not really occupied or doing soemthing with my hands is when I do it the most. So, if anyone of you out there has done the same as me then get in touch and share the ways in which you got out of your habit. Yes, i can hear you telling me that here are sooo many products out there that 'cure split ends', but trust me it is all a load of rubbish. I have tried numerous ones and what they do is just mask the problem. They visibly seal the problem for a short period of time (until you wash your hair) and then the split ends will just re-appear (because they aren't actually gone). Anyway, I recentley stumbled across this poll by glamour magazine which realy did amaze me;

Wow, I was weirdly suprised at the amount of people who actually do pick at their split ends. Maybe, because it was annoymous people felt happier about being truthful!? Anyway, I'll let you know how well all this goes and I really hope that some of you can relate to this post!
